Kim Jackson, Super Lawyer

Whew! I was beginning to formulate a continued boycott of this blog unless I received class updates. Thankfully, Kim Jackson came through. He writes:

I was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers 2009 for the State of Georgia. My wife, Nola, a DPU Class of ‘94 graduate, was selected for the honor of Rising Star 2009 by the same publication. She runs the household, however. The Super Lawyer selection process is based upon the votes of other Georgia lawyers, is limited to 5% of all Georgia lawyers, and includes various tests such as besting a Sicilian in a game of wits with death on the line and wrestling a bear. Or something like that.

My law practice is pretty much the same as I described at the class reunion dinner. I represent the Man and maintain the status quo, most often by representing honest lawyers accused of wrongdoing by their corrupt and lying clients. Nola protects the Man by preventing “allegedly” hurt people from taking your insurance premiums and defending construction companies accused of causing bad things to happen. We have two daughters, Zoe (2nd grade softball/dance star) and Iva (2-year-old child genius). If you are the Man or working for him, we are your friends.

BTW, Tom Fisher, a defender of the G-Man, who works for the attorney general in much the same was as a file clerk, probably has too much class to tell you he has been selected a Super Lawyer in Indiana twice (2007 and 2008).

Michael Langford was selected an Indiana Rising Star for 2009. Congrats are in order to him, too.

We probably have others in our class as well.

You know, Kim, I bet we do. Any body else out there?
