Spotlight on Career Services
If you're a regular visitor to this blog, you've heard me sing the praises of Wabash's Schroeder Office of Career Services, headed by Scott Crawford and his able staff. They have led a tremendous culture change on campus over the past two years. This spring, of those students wanting to find employment after Wabash, only 17% have yet to find a job. The average starting salary for the Class of 2007 is nearly $44,000. The list of businesses where our young lads have found jobs and internships is impressive.

The Career Center folks cite alumni involvement and networking as an important part of their initiatives. To assist SOCS, you can become an Alumni Mentor. Serving as an alumni mentor, you allow students to contact you for advice and career counseling, but you can control the topics and frequency of your involvement.
